About this today the department's press service reported.
“The detainee tried to give a bribe of 50 thousand hryvnia to an official of the Lviv regional council. He was supposed to submit to the regional parliament the issue of granting the Lviv region a special economic status and transferring to local governments the authority to set tariffs for utility services. The deputies of the regional council should have submitted the corresponding appeal to the President and Prime Minister of Ukraine, the Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada,” the message says.
The SBU is confident that such appeals are part of the implementation of the project of the so-called “creeping federalization” of Ukraine.
A day earlier, in the Rivne region of Ukraine, a man was detained for distributing leaflets calling for the creation of an independent Polesie People's Republic in the region.
