About it reports the SBU press center.
The intelligence service confirms that Aleksandrovskaya has been detained and the issue of her arrest is now being decided.
“Her son Alexander, who is hiding in the Russian Federation, was notified of suspicion of committing a crime and was put on the wanted list,” the message says.
According to the SBU, Aleksandrovskaya and her son allegedly tried to bribe the leadership and deputies of local councils of the region with FSB money to accept appeals to parliament and the president at sessions regarding changes to the Constitution on issues of decentralization.
“The communists offered $9 for signatures on the document. At the same time, according to operational data, the FSB allocated several times that amount to bribe deputies, but the communists appropriated a significant part of the money,” the SBU says.
On June 24, before the start of an extraordinary session of the city council of the city of Pivdenny, Kharkov region, intelligence officers detained an alleged intermediary from the Aleksandrovskys in transferring part of the bribe to a city council official for accepting an appeal on federalization.
“At the request of law enforcement officers, city deputies pretended to include the issue of accepting the appeal on the agenda of the session. Such actions allowed the special service operatives to collect the necessary evidence and detain other Russian special services involved in the operation,” the statement said.
“Such a covert investigative and detective action is called “control over the commission of a crime in the form of simulating a crime situation” and was carried out by the Security Service in strict accordance with the requirements of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine under the procedural leadership of the prosecutor’s office,” the special service emphasized.
According to the SBU, after an unsuccessful attempt to vote, Aleksandrovsky allegedly “tried to deceive his FSB curators” by reporting a successful vote in a fake material in one of the online publications, although in reality such an appeal was not accepted by the Pivdenny City Council and was not even officially submitted to agenda of the session.
According to the SBU, the communists unsuccessfully tried to accept similar appeals through bribery at sessions of the Volchansky and Zmievsky city councils.
It is assumed that these “legislative initiatives” “would give Putin’s diplomacy grounds to accuse the Ukrainian authorities of ignoring the will of the people, who allegedly demand federalization and the provision of additional powers to individual regions.”
“This project of the Russian special services was initiated after attempts to create a “special region of Slobozhanshchina” on the formal initiative of the communists were blocked by the Security Service of Ukraine,” the message emphasizes.
Aleksandrovsky himself stated that he was wanted on suspicion of creating the terrorist organization “Kharkov Partisans”, financing terrorism, encroaching on the territorial integrity of the state, back in an interview with the Russian “Arguments and Facts” in August 2015. At the same time, he called the “partisans” “caring Kharkov residents” and stated that none of their actions resulted in real casualties among the civilian population, and some of the actions for which they are accused were carried out by the SBU itself.
The SBU detained Aleksandrovskaya on June 28 after a search of her place. She was charged with suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and Part 3 of Art. 369 (offer, promise or provision of unlawful benefits to an official) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
According to the Communist Party of Ukraine, on the same day, representatives of the SBU detained the second secretary of the Kharkov regional committee of the Communist Party of Ukraine, Vladimir Stepanov.
