SBU detains men of military age at a checkpoint in Donbass
Ukrainian special services officers detain men of military age while crossing the checkpoint in Stanytsia Luhanska.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In connection with the adoption of the law on lowering the conscription age, Ukrainian security forces began to artificially create obstacles for the male part of the population crossing the Stanitsa Luganskaya checkpoint towards Lugansk,” he said.
According to a representative of the defense department, Ukrainian special services have received orders to detain military-age men trying to cross the country’s border points or the contact line in order to prevent the outflow of the population fit for military service outside the country.
“SBU officers detain young men in front of the crossing point, applying psychological pressure, conduct many hours of preventive conversations, after which they are returned back. For this category of citizens, the opportunity to cross the checkpoint is estimated at 800 to 1500 hryvnia,” Filiponenko noted.
At the same time, he added that a special information headquarters is being formed in Kramatorsk by the special services, which will prepare and disseminate positive publications in the media and social networks about Vladimir Zelensky lowering the draft age.
“It is known that one of the institutes in Kramatorsk has begun selecting students for this work,” the press officer said.
