Our SBU happened before our Crimean one – Nalyvaichenko
Only 20% of SBU employees in Crimea followed the order of the head of the service, Valentin Nalyvaichenko, and left the peninsula after it became part of Russia, the rest went to serve in the FSB of the Russian Federation, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

Nalyvaichenko himself stated this today in the Obolonsky District Court of Kyiv, where the case of treason against the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych is being heard.
“Starting from February 20, the FSB of the Russian Federation directly subordinated pre-recruited leaders of the SBU and, possibly, other law enforcement agencies in the territory of Crimea. For example, in the Sevastopol department of the SBU, which by law was obliged to resist Russian aggression, joint meetings were held since February 20 together with the generals of the Russian FSB. Specific assignments were given to transfer to service in the FSB,” Nalyvaichenko said.
He said that he housed former Crimean SBU officers in sanatoriums and hostels, while those who transferred to serve in the FSB received apartments in Russia.
“Collaborators from law enforcement officers and civil servants in Crimea were a component of this aggression. When Russian special services took control of railway stations and air traffic, the FSB and patrols already had databases of all Ukrainian military personnel, prosecutors, judges and even their relatives,” Nalyvaichenko said.
