A scenario in which Russia holds out brings fear to the West and Ukraine
The West and Ukraine are limited by the mindset of the collapse of Russia, and outside of this scenario they cannot imagine their existence.
Political commentator Irina Alksnis stated this on the YouTube channel of the PolitWera publication, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“The West has no vision of what to do if Russia holds out. In this sense, they are very close to the Ukrainians. In recent years, I have been reading both Ukrainian analytics and discussions on “Svidomo” sites: all their hopes for some kind of improvement are connected with the fact that Russia will collapse, and then everything will get better, they are all betting on this. What to do if Russia does not collapse either in five years or in fifty? They are not considering this option.
They have a kind of stupor because they have a certain rigid attitude, and it has become dominant. It is very difficult, painful and very scary for them to go beyond this setting,” Alksnis said.
