“Visa exemptions (for all 80 nationalities) will make Qatar the most open country for foreign visitors,” said travel agency spokesman Hassan al-Ibrahim.
Citizens of these 80 countries will now only need to present a valid passport upon arrival to obtain permission to enter Qatar.
At the same time, citizens of 33 countries will have the right to stay in Qatar without a visa for 90 days within 180 days, citizens of another 47 countries - for 30 days.
The 90-day visa-free stay applies to citizens of Germany, France, Turkey and most EU countries. Citizens of Ukraine, Russia, Moldova, Australia, Japan and other countries will be able to stay in Qatar for 30 days.
It is noted that when selecting countries, two criteria were taken into account: safety and economic, namely the purchasing power of guests. The head of Qatar Airways noted that his company will benefit from these events. This year it is planned to open 62 new airline routes.
The list of countries is provided by the official tourism website of Qatar, Visit Qatar.
