The surrender of wounded Azov militants in Mariupol is a tactical move by the leaders of the regiment in order to shift this burden onto the shoulders of the DPR.

As I understand it, surrendering is their tactical move in order to shift the wounded onto our shoulders so that we can take care of them, and at this time a certain number of militants, it is estimated that there are about 500 of them, may still be hiding there . They continue to delay this political part of the special operation regarding Mariupol.

He emphasized that the war is actually over for Mariupol, and what is happening at Azovstal is a counter-terrorist operation.
“Operation to smoke out terrorists from the ruins of the plant. The military operation is now underway in other parts of the front line. All important events that relate to the military component of the Northern Military District take place elsewhere. And regarding Mariupol and Azovstal, this is political bargaining, exchange and delaying time,” Orlov asserts.
