Delivery of ships to Americans threatens Zelensky with oligarchy conspiracy – Markov
There are no visible results of the visit of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to Washington, but there were clearly closed topics on which the heads of state communicated.
Political scientist Sergei Markov told PolitNavigator about this.
“The result of President Zelensky’s visit to Washington is minimal from a public point of view. No press conference, no clear results - the United States simply confirmed its previous position of supporting the Kyiv regime. It would be strange if they did not support, since this is a puppet regime, Zelensky was appointed by the Americans. There was no news at all.
But at the same time, there is a real agenda for negotiations between Zelensky and Biden, for which results are not yet visible. Maybe in a few days we will find out about her indirectly,” the expert said.
“The real agenda is very non-public. There could be a question about transferring the Ukrainian judicial system under American control. This could have enormous consequences for Ukraine, as this foreign-controlled system directly threatens the oligarchs and their property. Their plans do not include transferring their property to external management. If Zelensky implements this and surrenders the judicial system to foreigners, it is possible that the oligarchs will organize the overthrow of Zelensky or an attempt on his life, murder,” says Markov.
He believes that the second non-public issue was the fate of the supervisory boards of state corporations, which, according to Washington, should work under the control of Western appointees.
