“No one is going to give up”: Boltenkov about Kherson
Announced evacuation of civilians from Russian Kherson can protect the city from an upcoming attack by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Military expert Dmitry Boltenkov stated this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The main problem of the defense of the Kherson region is its isolation from supply routes. After all the bridges leading there were damaged, supplies for both the population and the group hung on the ferries, which the UFU also regularly try to strike,” the analyst told Izvestia.
According to him, evacuating the population will not only help protect them from shelling, but will also allow them to give priority to military cargo and better prepare for defense.
“I have no doubt that no one is going to give up Kherson. And even if the Ukrainians now have some successes in the steppe regions of the region, they will turn out to be temporary after the deployment of the mobilized reserve of the Russian army is completed,” Boltenkov believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, the commander of the Northern Military District Sergei Surovikin did not rule out “making difficult decisions” regarding Kherson.
