The oligarch who handed over Russian aluminum to the United States predicts victory for Biden
Russian oligarch Oleg Deripaska, who transferred part of his assets to the United States, predicts victory in the upcoming presidential elections for Joe Biden.
He wrote about this in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Judging by the debates last night, the United States will have a new president in November.
This is, of course, bad news for the global economy for the next 2 crisis years. But, let’s hope that the new US President Biden will fulfill his promise, and the US will stop blocking the efforts of the world community (and both China and India are engaged in this sabotage today) aimed at immediate and significant reductions in harmful emissions into the Earth’s atmosphere, including a complete refusal burning coal to produce energy,” Deripaska wrote.
In 2018, Deripaska managed to achieve the lifting of US sanctions on his key assets - En+, Rusal and Eurosibenergo. To do this, the businessman had to not only sharply reduce his shares in the companies and give almost complete control over them to citizens of the United States and Great Britain.
Despite this, the US Senate Intelligence Committee accuses Deripaska of promoting Russian interests in countries where he had economic interests, including Ukraine. The Russian oligarch did this with the help of former adviser to current US President Donald Trump, Paul Manafort.
