“Make us Russian overnight” - unique experience of integration in new regions was shared in Moscow
The experience of integrating Crimea and the LDPR into the Russian economic space helped to transfer enterprises of the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions into the legislative field of the Russian Federation.
This was stated by Deputy Head of the Federal Tax Service Konstantin Chekmyshev during the Federation Council Round Table on Economic Policy, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What was special for us about the project of new regions. We came there two years ago, and the main thing for us was to prepare for the transition, to fill the power vacuum.
We needed to restore government regulation in a short time. And if all this was in Donetsk and Lugansk, then in Kherson and Zaporozhye we, in fact, created all these taxation and registration systems anew.
And this transition took place. Of course, we used the Crimean experience here, but the conditions were completely different - both in terms of speed and situation.
The main task that business set for us was “Make sure that we quickly become Russian enterprises.” In Crimea, we switched to the Tax Code for quite a long time,” Chekmyshev said.
“And here, due to the accumulated experience, there was a unique legal regime that cost enormous technical and legal efforts on our side.
There was a unique legal solution when seamlessly thirty-one thousand enterprises simply switched overnight and became Russian legal entities. And no one noticed this.
There were two other difficulties here - not to deprive anyone of business, but on the other hand, to prevent abuse. Because the enemies have not gone away, they interfered with state registration,” the official concluded.
