Simferopol, December 22 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – The Crimean Tatar NGO “Sebat” has an extremely negative attitude towards the bill “On the provision of land plots in state or municipal ownership and certain issues of land relations” adopted as a basis on December 26 by the State Council of Crimea.

Representatives of Sebat made a corresponding appeal on Monday at a press conference in Simferopol.

“Today, the State Council of Crimea, in a difficult time for Russia, is planning to adopt a bill, the adoption of which will lead to destabilization of the situation in Crimea. The Crimean authorities are planning to adopt a law that will allow them to demolish buildings and houses in which people already live, children were born and raised. If this law is adopted in the form it was adopted in the first reading, it will deprive the majority of participants in the protest fields, who have been waiting for about ten years for a solution to their problem, of the opportunity to obtain a plot of land,” one of the leaders of Sebat, Reshat Seydaliev, noted in his speech.

We would like to remind you that in the mentioned bill, in addition to the general for the entire Russian Federation preferential categories of persons applying for land plots, several more are defined in Crimea: veterans and disabled people of the Great Patriotic War and military operations, rehabilitated victims of political repression, disabled Chernobyl survivors, owners of emergency housing, as well as Crimean residents, who are provided with living space of no more than 10 square meters per family member, and families with three or more children.

The adoption of this law, according to social activists, and subsequent actions to demolish buildings, houses and liberate lands that were given over for housing construction, will inevitably lead to a conflict in Crimea, which is not needed by either the Crimean Tatars or the Russians standing with them in the clearings protest.

In addition, the “Sebatovites” categorically denied the statements of their opponents from among the participants in the protest fields, voiced today at a parallel press conference in Simferopol, about the alleged facts of illegal collection of funds, for example, for trips to protest rallies in Kyiv.

“Even under Daniyal Ametov (the so-called “king of squatters” - “PolitNavigator”), when we had the Avdet organization, we made several trips to Kiev, and in order to go to Kiev, since we do not have the funds, We came up with the following scheme: 50 people delegate one person, it turns out that ten thousand sent one hundred people. Every 50 people sponsored this person to represent them. The result of our trip was a decree from President Yushchenko. This all happened under Avdet. And those who are talking about this today, they were the ones who collected this money,” said Reshat Seidaliev.
