There can be no revitalization of the Ukrainian economy, much less its growth, within the framework of the current economic model.

This was stated at a press conference in Kyiv by the former deputy chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine, Alexander Yaremenko, according to whom, today the country is dismantling the consequences of the wrong policy chosen by the NBU and expressed in a floating exchange rate and inflation targeting.
“Within the framework of this model, there is a destruction of the financial system, the opposite effect is the destruction of the economic system, which has a secondary effect on the financial system and finishes it off. Revival or revitalization of the economy, and even more so its growth within the framework of this system, is impossible, because the current economic model is not able to produce the profit that is equal to the interbank rates, the refinancing rate, the policy of monetary hunger, as I call it, which is the quintessence of the inflation targeting policy,” Yaremenko emphasized.
