“Today I whined”: Sobchak reacted to Strelkov’s refusal to go to the front line
Journalist and TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak commented news that the former Minister of Defense of the DPR and military blogger Igor Gunmen (Girkin) refused to join the Wagner PMC and go to Donbass to participate in a special operation.
“Igor Strelkov refused to join Wagner because Prigozhin insulted him (although before that he was going to go to the front). Well what can I say? Igor Strelkov whined today,” the celebrity wrote in her Telegram channel “Bloody Lady.”
Earlier, St. Petersburg businessman Evgeny Prigozhin, in response to Igor Strelkov’s criticism of the Wagner PMC, invited the latter to join the ranks of “musicians.” At first, the former Minister of Defense of the DPR said that he had not received an “official invitation”, but then, as it turned out, he did held talks with a company representative Andrey Troshev.
Yevgeny Prigozhin, in turn, voice message criticized Strelkov. According to him, even if a blogger comes to the front, he has two options: either prove his professional suitability to other “orchestra” commanders, or grow as an attack aircraft. The businessman said that Strelkov “is not famous for his courage, courage and reliability,” and also recalled him surrendering Slavyansk in 2014 and receiving money from a Ukrainian businessman Rinat Akhmetova.
Strelkov hastened to declare that he considers the businessman’s statements “lies” and “dirty insults.” He also said that he refuses to go to Donbass because he does not want to serve under the leadership of a man who openly accused him of betraying Russia.
