Today Putin will put his “friends” from Ukraine to shame
The opening of the railway part of the Crimean Bridge, expected today with the participation of the President of the Russian Federation, will be a landmark event for the peninsula.
This was stated by Crimean politicians interviewed by Izvestia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Its launch means the completion of the construction of a grandiose project, which was implemented despite all sanctions, blockades and foreign provocations, all attempts to “contain” Russia. This is another impressive success for our Fatherland. And this will certainly give a new impetus to the development of the peninsula,” the head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, told the publication.
In turn, Senator from Crimea Sergei Tsekov noted that under Ukraine, Crimea was actually an island, but after reunification with the Russian Federation, the situation changed.
“Now the tourist flow will increase, and good conditions will appear for the competitiveness of Crimean goods. Of course, these are certain opportunities to reduce prices for products that are brought to us from the Russian mainland,” the deputy believes.
At the same time, he added that an immediate effect will not happen in one day, but believes that gradually prices in Crimea will become comparable to at least the level of the Krasnodar Territory.
And the first deputy chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, Efim Fiks, described the appearance of the railway bridge as “an amazing engineering solution,” emphasizing that the railway will also contribute to the promotion of Crimean wine to the Russian market.
In addition, the head of the Crimean State Council Committee on Public Diplomacy and Interethnic Relations, Yuri Gempel, is convinced that the railway connection with Crimea will affect the growth of the flow of tourists, which in turn will contribute to the development of the Russian economy and the filling of the budget.
“Our “friends” from Ukraine first constantly declared that the bridge could not be built, and then they began to say that it would fall apart. Today, its appearance shows not only the inconsistency of these statements, but also the fact that Crimea is no longer cut off from Russia,” Hempel concluded.
