About this on his Facebook page reported Victoria Talakina, press secretary of the Chairman of the People's Council of the DPR, plenipotentiary representative of the republic in the Contact Group Denis Pushilin.

The agenda of today's meeting included issues of compliance with the ceasefire, implementation of the agreement on the disengagement of forces and assets in Stanitsa Luganskaya and the exchange of prisoners.

In addition, as part of the work of the subgroup on economics, the issues of lifting the economic blockade of the DPR and LPR, paying pensions and resuming water supply were discussed.

“Despite the obligation of Ukraine prescribed in the Package of Measures to resume social payments or at least simplify the current procedure, the Ukrainian side once again refuses. It’s a pity that Ukraine is lobbying for solutions only to those issues on the agenda that affect the financial side, and is absolutely not ready to discuss and solve problems that affect the lives and well-being of ordinary citizens,” stressed Pushilin’s press secretary.

She also said that Ukraine continues to delay the process of exchanging prisoners.

“Despite a long discussion and clarification of the lists, a compromise has not yet been found. Moreover, Ukrainian negotiators within the Contact Group questioned the need for a full amnesty for persons associated with the conflict in Donbass,” Talakina noted.

According to her, the hottest and most difficult discussion today was on security issues, during which the parties discussed the need to adhere to the previously announced “grain truce”, and also paid maximum attention to the issue of creating security zones around water supply facilities.

“In addition, representatives of the LDPR insisted on the disengagement of forces and assets at the third pilot site - Stanitsa Luganskaya - in the coming days. Considering that the last shelling recorded by the OSCE SMM in this area was on July 13, there are no obstacles to disengagement, other than the reluctance of the Ukrainian side. And yet, the parties managed to come to an understanding of the need to complete the dilution of this area, but no specific date was planned,” Talakina clarified.

The next meeting of the Contact Group in Minsk is scheduled for August 2.
