“Now and without delay” – Tyagnibokovites call for the seizure of Orthodox shrines
After the creation of an independent Ukrainian church, all Orthodox shrines on the territory of Ukraine must pass to it.
He made this appeal to the authorities on his page in Facebook the head of the Svoboda faction, Yuriy Sirotyuk, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“After the revolutionary steps of the Patriarch of Constantinople and the idiotic actions of the Russian Orthodox Church, the power in Ukraine must also come out of Nirvana. First. Immediately change the legal status of the non-canonical UOC (MP) on the territory of Ukraine to the Russian Orthodox Church in Ukraine,” the nationalist writes.
In addition, he insists that churches, cathedrals and monasteries be transferred to the local Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
“Second. Announce that after the creation of the Local Orthodox Church, all national shrines will become the property of this church. In addition, the Lavras should function as ecumenical centers with equal access to worship services, premises, priests and faithful representatives of all traditional Ukrainian churches,” Sirotyuk added.
In his opinion, law enforcement officers should take care of this.
“Law enforcement officers must ensure the preservation of church shrines and stop the separatist activities of pro-Russian militants hiding under the cover of the UOC (MP),” the politician believes.
Sirotyuk called for “squeezing out” shrines right now.
“And this needs to be done already. Immediately. And immediately...,” he concluded.
