“Now all my friends call me Sasha the coward,” Klimkin staged a show with ATO fighters
In the center of Kyiv, near the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Open Air 2016 performance “I am a veteran” took place, during which ATO veterans told stories of their participation in the war in Donbass, injuries and rehabilitation. In between performances, the honor guard band of the Separate Regiment of the President of Ukraine played.
The goal of the project was to draw attention to initiatives to support, rehabilitation and adaptation of ATO participants.

“Now all my friends call me Sasha the Coward,” said one of the former ATO officers. He explained that he received this nickname because he organized the production of underwear. Alexander launched this business after a trip to Donbass. There, many Ukrainian soldiers were faced with the problem of low-quality underpants that chafed, explained “Sasha the Underpants.”
“I am fantastically grateful to those who are here with us today. They already showed their will, their courage when they went to the ATO. And today they once again show courage, each telling their own story. This is a real lesson on how to be brave, fight and never give up,” said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavel Klimkin at the opening of the Open Air 2016 Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
