Seven Fridays on Monday: Saakashvili’s housewarming party in Odessa
Yes, young man, I haven’t had so much fun for a long time after seeing yet another “sensational news” from my city. No, just listen and, together with the whole of Odessa, which has still not lost the ability to laugh at idiots, check out the stupid joke of the stray local political comedians!
...You probably remember. More recently, the fugitive Georgian president and retired Odessa governor Mikho Saakashvili, who returned to Ukraine by the grace of the newly-minted “servant of the people” Zelensky, announced his Groisian claims to the potentially vacant post of our mayor.
But! After a short time, he suddenly “jumped off the market,” blaspheming everyone and everything, promising to return to his historical homeland in order to restore his very dubious order there again. They say that the Banderlogs have seized power here, and I don’t agree with them!
Evil but fair tongues were spoken: this was due to the fact that the local sponsor of the “mad Sahaki”, a notorious developer with an extremely sour and scandalous reputation, Syrian Adnan Kivan, did not provide adequate financial support for the immoderate ambitions of his old accomplice.
But! Obviously, either Miho moderated his claims, stretching his fat legs over his skimpy clothes “fly back”, realizing that in Georgia, if anything awaits him, it’s a well-deserved zugunder and brooms and mops without Vaseline, and not at all a triumphant return to the throne.
Or maybe the stingy eastern man finally relented, giving his unlucky friend one last chance in the hope of future joint profitable deals. And at the same time, a free shelter in one of their numerous and half-empty multi-storey “de-buildings” in one of the prestigious districts of Odessa.
And so, yesterday a wonderful story appeared on the Internet about the housewarming of “twice citizen of Ukraine” Pan-Batono Miho in our city. A sort of show that involuntarily evoked an association with one of the funniest moments of Vladimir Menshov’s brilliant comedy “Shirley Myrli”.
Remember? Yes, it is precisely this crude but accurate phrase from the “chronicler of Russian crime” Alexei Feofilaktovich that most clearly characterizes the gangway assembled at the “Georgian pretender’s” farm...
... The ex-“Odessa gentleman” Oleg Filimonov, who was completely infatuated, excitedly told bearded jokes, obsequiously looking into the lascivious eyes of his employer. The elderly zits, sorry, vice-president of the “World Club of Odessa residents” Valery Khait read the Georgian poems of Boris Pasternak with a languid aspiration, looking no less searchingly at the potential breadwinner.
And these two small-town, deeply provincial buffoons from the outback, who at one time successfully stuck like leeches to Odessa, which was not their native land, were joined by a specially invited “cherry on the cake”, a director without films, a recently released terrorist - loser Oleg Sentsov...
And this “inappropriate meeting” happened, where the corrupt cuckoos strained to praise the Georgian inflated rooster. No, just admire it to this pornography of the spirit!
Tellingly, even fans and like-minded people of Sentsov burst out on social networks with a bunch of perplexed and indignant comments on the topic of the fact that it was in vain that the “Groyse director” got involved with such a slippery type.
Apparently, even for a mediocre extremist and a “handicraft genius without an engine,” the company of a Georgian outcast and psychopath looks extremely dubious in the eyes of “patriots.”
Although, as for me, like tends to like. Pathology attracts psychopaths and Russophobes to each other...
Out of humanism, I’ll keep silent about how harmonious the servility of two completely “out of print” comedians of retirement age was... What can you do, the old hacks still can’t forget the taste of free caviar and other goodies.
They forgot about honor and decency so long ago that it’s scary to remember...
It goes without saying that for Odessa, for the whole country, this “significant event” does not matter. You never know what kind of company of crooks will gather in Odessa.
But the character in Menshov’s film was right, oh, so right! What can you do, comic power gives rise to comic situations! It's only the beginning!
