Kyiv, January 08 (PolitNavigator, Maxim Karpenko) – The commander of the Donbass battalion and People’s Deputy of Ukraine Semyon Semenchenko, in response to uncomfortable questions for him on the air of Hromadske TV, began to openly be rude to the presenter and viewers who called the studio via video link. Thus, Semenchenko was angered by a remark from Sevastopol resident Vladimir, who noted that the battalion commander had changed several ranks in a year.

“I want to ask a question to this comrade who assigns himself the ranks of major, captain, colonel, then captain again,” Vladimir tried to ask.

– Don’t you have a call from Moscow? Or are you only from Sevastopol? What's the question? Crimea will be ours, I promise you that,” Semenchenko began to get nervous.

– I would like to teach you, if you are an officer, to behave normally on air. If you became a people’s deputy, wearing a balaclava, first participating in separatist rallies, and then, posing as a patriot of Ukraine... - the viewer tried to ask a question.

“I apologize, but do you want to ask a question, or teach me something?” the battalion commander interrupted him.

“I want to ask a question, but I don’t know how to do it, because you don’t listen to me,” Vladimir continued.

– Maybe you can do this somehow more gracefully, this trolling session. Well, please tell me, a man from Sevastopol wants to teach me to respect you. So, what’s happening doesn’t allow me to do this,” Semenchenko turned to the host of the program.

– Do you think we recruited it ourselves? – the journalist asked.

“No, you can connect Moscow with me, or Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk,” the battalion commander noted, increasingly losing his temper.

– Semyon, you have renounced your name and your surname. Question: how do such people get into our government? – the Sevastopol resident nevertheless asked the question.

-Which one of ours? Your authority is Mr. Aksenov, comrade from Sevastopol. I can’t understand whether we’re having a remote communication session with cotton wool or what’s going on here? – the people’s deputy finally went mad.

“Anyone who wants to call us on Skype,” the journalist tried to justify herself.

– Anyone who wants to, but for some reason your selection is quite interesting. Calls from Sevastopol with a selection of phrases from “CyberBerkut” are all interesting. “I don’t recognize the “Hromadske” that I saw in April,” Semenchenko retorted.

After a rather lengthy discussion, the people’s deputy’s nerves could not stand it, and he left the studio ahead of schedule, accusing Hromadske TV of bias and working on a political order. At the same time, the presenter of the program noted that Semyon Semenchenko became a guest on the air after a request from his press service, which contacted the channel’s editorial office.

“His press secretary called and said that Mr. Semyon wants to come on air. We want to tell politicians who think that they can just come and voice what they want to voice, will not be at Hromadske. We can raise different questions,” the presenter noted.

The editor-in-chief of the Ukrayinska Pravda portal, Sevgil Musaeva, expressed surprise at Semenchenko’s behavior on air.

“A man is calling from Sevastopol. Yes, he asks a question that is not entirely clear and gets confused.
And Semenchenko first says to him, “Crimea will be ours,” and then, “Your power is Aksenov,” and to the presenter, “Why are you turning on the cotton wool for me?” What is this and how? The tolerance of a people's deputy towards his citizens who live in the occupied territory? Can this “Your power of Aksenov” be considered a recognition of the annexation? And what about the cotton wool in relation to the person who called Hromadsky’s broadcast in Kyiv, and, therefore, is interested in what is happening here...? And his question was not about the junta or punitive forces. And even if it were, it would still not be a reason for insult,” Musaeva commented.
