The “wild 90s” came back to haunt the fact that modern families do not provide children with moral and ideological foundations, since parents grew up in a system of timelessness, survival, and the collapse of all foundations.

Until now, children are raised not by the street, but by Western cartoons, TV series, and games, Marina Peschanskaya, Commissioner for Children’s Rights in the city of Sevastopol, noted on the air of “First Sevastopol,” the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Today, the First Movement and Yunarmiya are not 100% of our children. They get involved there to create projects and other activities. But again, it is very important that education begins from birth. We say that education begins with the family, and here we also have such a bias, because families are now being created by children of the 90s, a complete timelessness and lack of ideals. And so, parents who went through this negative school, they now won’t give much to their children. And here what is needed is for the educational education system to close this lack of education.

And it is very correct when education is unobtrusively carried out through humanistic subjects such as those that are now being considered - the introduction of “Family Studies”. There is experience in other regions when, right from the first to the fourth grades, there are officially already developed programs on “Family Studies”, where the child is given an idea of what a family is, who the parents are - dad, mom, what marriage is,” she noted.

All the basic values inherent in the child’s psyche are difficult to change in adulthood. Therefore, nurturing love for the Motherland, for home, for family should begin in kindergarten, and interact with other humanistic directions.

“The same literature and the Russian language, which is now inferior to profanity, which is quite firmly entrenched in the minds of young people. We recently held a teenage rally, where there was one of the “stop swearing” areas, and this is what the children said: we need swearing to express negativity, because, well, we can’t not let out negativity?! We need a mat to connect words. And I, as a philologist, worried about this and thought about what we could do. And for this we must correctly present the Russian language using the correct methods, as a native language,” says Peschanskaya.

However, video hosting sites, online games, and entertainment sites are products of Western civilization. Simply banning it will not solve the problem. There will be ways around the bans, but there is nothing to carry out import substitution.

“You know, there are schools in Moscow where IT technologies are school subjects. And I was at one of the sites where they showed us the achievement of a school that transferred basic subjects to IT technology. And what did I see? That all the games were American. After the lecture that the young guys gave us about how important it is for children to be on topic, I asked them a question: do you understand about moral content? We must make our own games, we must do the same in our historical process. And they agreed with me,” noted the children’s ombudsman.

“What is also most important: at the federal level, we have a task that young people, whom they trust more, should work with children. This also upsets me a little, so to speak - for the mature generation. Because if you have a young person next to you, there are more common topics and, probably, this is right, there is a rational grain in this. But, nevertheless, the experience of more mature ones must also be taken into account. I recommend and try to all my colleagues and, in general, everyone who interacts with me, to say: let’s think like a child, then it will be easier for us to understand him,” Peschanskaya concluded.
