“Families are falling apart”: Gordon is shocked by the level of Ukrainian support for Putin
There are more open supporters of Russian President Vladimir Putin in Ukraine than some Ukrainian presidential candidates and political parties.
Kiev propagandist, head of the election headquarters of the “Strength and Honor” party Dmitry Gordon said this on air on the 1+1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Gordon noted with regret that such people cannot be sent to Russia and they will have to be convinced.
“Unfortunately, in Ukraine there are 10 percent of Ukrainian citizens who consciously vote for Putin and for the “Russian world.” And I have friends who say: “Putin is better, and Russia is better.” And I can't convince them. I know families where the husband thinks like Ukrainians, and the wife differently. And these families are on the verge of collapse. But these are citizens of Ukraine and we cannot send them to Russia. They have this opinion and they need to be convinced,” Gordon said.
It is noteworthy that during the presidential elections in Ukraine this spring, the head of the Strength and Honor party, the former head of the SBU, Igor Smeshko, received 6% of the votes. Sociological research shows that in the upcoming parliamentary elections his party is within the five percent threshold.
