The family of the Ukrainian ombudsman Denisova makes billions from serving the Russian Navy in Crimea
The family of Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova runs a multi-billion dollar business in Crimea and even serves the Russian Navy.
This was reported on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The relatives of the Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denisova conduct business activities in Crimea. The family received Russian passports after the annexation of the peninsula and did not renounce Ukrainian citizenship, which is contrary to Ukrainian law.
Moreover, Denisova’s daughter’s husband and sister serve the Russian Navy in Sevastopol and received tenders worth one and a half billion rubles, which is more than half a billion hryvnia,” the presenter said.
The journalist emphasized that numerous relatives of Lyudmila Denisova own shares in more than a dozen large Crimean companies.
“But the surprises didn’t end there. Among the founders of the Triora company are two former people’s deputies from Batkivshchyna, Andrei Senchenko and Sergei Velizhansky. The latter became the “wallet” of the Denisov family in Crimea. It was to him that the Ombudsman transferred the shares of most of her companies.
The man owns 13 companies. In some, the co-owner is Denisova’s eldest daughter Alena Titarenko,” the TV channel summarized.
In turn, the host of the Internet channel “Echo of Kyiv” Sergei Godny said that the illegal business of officials has already become the norm in Ukraine.
“How can you do business in Ukraine, what is the algorithm for success? It’s very simple - you need to be in power. There are even indicators in which cities - Kyiv, Kiev region, Odessa, Kharkov, Lviv.
The most interesting area of activity is the maintenance of multi-storey buildings and territories. The sphere of housing and communal services. This is the business of officials. For us, this is the simplest scheme - you need to get into power and protect your business interests.
Our presidents were people who were constantly engaged in building their business empires while holding certain positions. This is corruption,” said Godny.
