Senator criticizes the government of Sevastopol for selling off children's boarding houses
The government of Sevastopol included the most expensive accommodation facilities in the program for the development of children's tourism in the city.
Russian Senator Olga Timofeeva spoke about this in an interview with the NTS TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There were hotels “Aquamarine” and “Sevastopol”, where a room costs 5 thousand rubles. per day. It is realistic to pay for such accommodation only from the budget, but then no budget will be enough,” Timofeeva said.
At the same time, according to her, the government of Sevastopol included boarding houses, including children's, in the privatization program.
“Why, if we are trying to implement a children’s tourism program? We have donor regions. Maybe it makes sense to create some kind of structure? Will Sevastopol include 50-51% of shares in the form of land and infrastructure, and the donor region - funds to create a year-round children's tourism center? Then these boarding houses would work for their intended purpose,” Timofeeva said.
As PolitNavigator previously reported, the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol has already rejected the privatization program introduced by the city government five times.
