About this during a press conference on the topic: “War for Donbass: What will the law on reintegration lead to?” said Olga Kovitidi, a member of the Federation Council Committee on Defense and Security, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Unlike our international partners, Russia fulfills its international obligations. In accordance with the Minsk agreements, she did everything that depended on her. After the adoption of the law “On the reintegration of Donbass,” when Ukraine treacherously withdrew from the Minsk agreements and showed the unproductiveness of its position, thereby Ukraine frees the hands of the Russian Federation. Western partners understand this very well, which is why the series of Western emissaries to Ukraine will grow, because the Russian Federation will no longer be bound by these obligations, which were fulfilled in the light of the Minsk agreements.
However, there is no alternative to Minsk now. And if Ukraine does not take any decisive measures to repeal the law “On the Reintegration of Donbass” in the very near future, then all foreign policy processes that will take place on this platform will become completely different. There is awareness of this not only in Ukraine and the West, but apparently someone is satisfied with this,” said Olga Kovitidi.
