The senator from Crimea gave a beating to the host of the Dozhd TV channel.
An interview between Crimean senator Olga Kovitidi and the Russian opposition TV channel Dozhd turned into a scandal. The full version of the conversation is available only for money, but several fragments of the TV channel posted on my website and a page on Facebook.

From the available excerpts it is clear that the presenter Yulia Taratuta, who was born and educated in Ukraine, was in the mood to mock the Crimean woman.
“Are you aware, when you come to this studio, that even with how to introduce you, difficulties may arise,” Taratuta began, although before that she had easily read on a piece of paper what positions Kovitidi holds in the Federation Council.
The Crimean senator reacted with a somewhat confused, but quite peaceful monologue, reminding the presenter that she was among those who supported the Dozhd TV channel when it was banned in Ukraine.
Taratuta did not thank the senator, but she remembered that none of the government representatives supported the TV channel when its broadcasting was limited in Russia. This happened before the reunification of Russia with Crimea, when Dozhd decided to ask its viewers whether Leningrad should have been surrendered to the Nazis in 1941.
Kovitidi again peacefully offered to solve problems together. “We’ll see together or how it turns out,” Taratuta responded.
After some time, she tried to ask a question: “By the way, March 18 is another anniversary...”. “Aren’t you happy, by the way?” Kovitidi interrupted. “I’m asking the questions here,” Taratuta snapped.
What happened next is known only to Dozhd subscribers, but judging by the following excerpt, the presenter achieved her goal and infuriated the guest.
“You don’t like much of the truth that the representative of the new subject of the federation tells you. You are determined to “weat” your interlocutor. But do you know what makes Covitidi different from all others? When I see injustice, I talk about it. You are unfair about the annexation of Crimea to Russia, but I stood up for the Dozhd TV channel. Today, as a representative of the channel, you show the situation in such a way that everything is bad in Crimea,” Kovitidi scolded the presenter.
Thank you!
