Senator: The verdict of Chiygoz is a warning to all Mejlis members
Today’s harsh sentence handed down to one of the leaders of the Majlis banned in the Russian Federation, Akhtem Chiygoz, is a warning to all supporters of the illegal organization who want to repeat attempts at unrest in Crimea.
Senator from Crimea Sergei Tsekov told PolitNavigator about this.

“This person is the organizer of the riots that took place on February 26, 2014. This decision was proven by the testimony of many participants in these events, so the punishment is deserved.
The events that took place under the building of the Supreme Council of Crimea at that time could have led to serious bloody consequences. At the same time, we must remember that two people died.
The organizer of those events is the Majlis, and Chiygoz himself is a prominent representative of this banned organization.
The punishment is deserved, and others must draw conclusions and understand that punishment for such acts, for mass riots, is inevitable if someone has the desire to organize something like this. Let them remember this decision,” Tsekov said.
