Senchenko explains Yanukovych's flight as a delusion of persecution

At that time, Yanukovych was the head of the administration of the Donetsk region.
“He tried to offer me to sell the Black Sea Television and Radio Company, which I created in my youth. I refused. We had a conversation on a wide range of issues. The communication was specific: for ten words there were seven filler words. He told me his life principles. He said: I am a hunter, if I wounded an animal and did not finish it off, this animal will make a circle and rip my side open.
During a conversation with Alexander Yanukovych on December 3, 2013, I heard the same thing - these are their family principles. That’s why I opposed the agreement with Yanukovych in February 2014,” Senchenko said.
He also said that Yanukovych had a persecution mania even when he was a regional leader.
“He told me for more than an hour that when he comes to Kyiv, he sleeps in a new place every night. He believed that they were trying to kill him, poison him. I got the impression that he had an obsession. Therefore, he decided to flee in February 2014,” Senchenko said.
