“The goal of our trip is to tell people that the West did not come out against the East, but that the Maidan brought together ordinary people who came out to say that they do not agree with the actions of the corrupt government and want to live in a European democratic country. Unfortunately, it was possible to eliminate Yanukovych, his family and his inner circle from the totalitarian rule of the country, at too high a cost - the price of human blood. But since the East of Ukraine for a long time was used by the party of the then power only as an electorate in elections, it was artificially limited from truthful information, including regarding the reasons for the existence of the Maidan. Therefore, during our trip to Crimea, we will explain to the Crimeans about the situation that has developed in the state, including regarding the illegal actions of the self-proclaimed authorities of Crimea and the holding of an illegal referendum, which is a way to kneel before Russia,” the Kiev deputy said.
