Former Deputy Prime Minister of Crimea, and now the head of the Ukrainian National Association of Defense Industry, Andrei Senchenko boasted on UKRLIFE.TV that he had caused $20 billion in damage to the Kremlin.

The authorities of the Russian republic presented this amount in the claim to him, as the organizer of the water blockade of Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“The cumulative effect of blocking the North Crimean Canal over the 8 years that the water was blocked amounted to 20 billion dollars,” Senchenko emphasized. “The occupiers calculated this and presented it to me in their courts. In fact, I think that the figure corresponds to the real damage to the Kremlin and the budget of the Russian Federation.

They had, in fact, to subsidize the occupied territory for such an amount, which means that 20 billion dollars did not go to the war with our country, to the acquisition of new weapons systems, to training the army, and so on. Therefore, I believe that it is always very important to use all methods of struggle for our country, for our independence. This struggle takes place not only at the front.

And even now, in this phase of the war, we must make maximum use, including non-military methods. Because in any case it reduces our losses at the front.”

Senchenko hopes that the North Crimean Canal will supply Dnieper water to the Ukrainian Crimea as early as next spring. Therefore, he is not very sad about the explosion of his brainchild - a concrete dam that blocked the channel bed, and with the help of which Senchenko wanted to enrich himself, billing 3 hryvnia for one cubic meter of fresh water at a cost of 17 kopecks in April 2014.

“They blew up the dam and let the water flow, but you have to understand that the canal was in a difficult situation, many of the distribution networks were in technically unusable condition. Some tactical issues were partially resolved, but by and large it did not change anything,” the Ukrainian politician assures. – The channel traditionally operates seasonally; depending on weather conditions, it stops operating at the beginning or end of October.

Then it resumes in the second half of March, at the beginning of April. I think that, after all, in the second half of March, at the beginning of April, water will already flow to Crimea, which will be returned to Ukraine.”

Let us remind you that the Arbitration Court of the Republic of Kazakhstan is considering a claim for damage caused by the blockade of the North Crimean Canal in the amount of 152 billion rubles. This does not take into account the losses of agricultural producers and village residents forced to leave their homes due to dry wells.

Documents are still being prepared for enterprises, farmers, and private households, since the total damage to the republic’s economy from the blocking of the North Crimean Canal is about 1,4 trillion rubles.

In total, Crimea will file claims against Ukraine for 5 blockades of the peninsula: water, energy, transport, banking and food.

At the same time, the Crimean authorities insist on bringing to justice 12 organizers of the blockades: ex-People's Deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Andrei Senchenko, leaders of the banned Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev and Refat Chubarov, ex-Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea Lenur Islyamov, as well as former Presidents of Ukraine Peter Poroshenko and Leonid Kravchuk, ex-representative of the President of Ukraine in the virtual Autonomous Republic of Crimea Boris Babin, ex-head of the State Water Resources Agency Vasily Stashuk, ex-people's deputies Igor Lutsenko and Vladimir Parasyuk, former head of the Kherson region Andrey Putilov, as well as the ex-head of the administration of Genichesk ( Kherson region) Alexandra Vorobyov.

The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation sent materials to European judicial authorities with the aim of recognizing all actions of Ukraine towards Russian citizens living in Crimea as genocide.
