Senchenko: Ukraine must make claims against NATO for $200 billion

Ukraine should demand from the NATO countries, which acted as guarantors of the Budapest Agreements, at least $200 billion, which they saved after Kiev destroyed nuclear weapons.

The former acting director stated this on air on the Chernomorskaya TRK TV channel. Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, fugitive Crimean Tymoshenko member Andrei Senchenko, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Senchenko, NATO countries have saved a total of at least a trillion dollars over the past 25 years and should give Ukraine at least 20%.

“What if the Budapest Memorandum had not been signed, if Ukraine had taken this step, but what would have happened? Obviously, these missiles would not threaten New York, Paris or Berlin, but there would be another threat - there would be a threat of nuclear missiles and technologies, nuclear components spreading throughout the world. This is a special danger, which is why all NATO countries, especially our guarantor countries, have become beneficiaries. Because otherwise they would have been forced to bear enormous costs for almost 26 years since the signing of the Budapest Memorandum if nuclear weapons had remained here...

There are certain calculations on this topic, how much these countries have won and what share of this Ukraine can count on. We believe that the direct benefit amounted to at least one trillion dollars during this time, at a minimum, and Ukraine is entitled to at least 20% of this economic effect. 200 billion,” Senchenko said.
