Senchenko: Ukraine can win over 80% of Crimeans (VIDEO)
Kyiv, February 12 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Mikhailov) – Batkivshchyna functionary Andrei Senchenko does not believe the results of a poll, according to which 84% of Crimeans approve of the annexation of Crimea to Russia.
“In my opinion, these numbers are far from reality. Today, the main feeling among people in Crimea is fear. Therefore, it is extremely difficult to obtain any objective figures during a telephone survey,” he said at a round table in Kyiv.

Andrey Senchenko believes that the majority of Crimeans “can be reached.”
“In my opinion, 20% of Crimeans are the audience that we will not convince of anything. These are people who have nothing connected with Crimea, demobilized military personnel who have lived there since Soviet times. This is a public that has been brainwashed by various pro-Russian structures for a long time. The remaining 80% are the people we need to work closely with. And we cannot limit ourselves to those who are considered the most patriotic categories of Crimeans - Crimean Tatars and young people, for whom the Soviet Union is an empty phrase, their homeland is Ukraine. We must take actions that will allow us to reach this 80%,” he believes.
The main thing that hinders the success of Ukrainian policy towards Crimea is the lack of strategy.
“There is no strategy, there are spontaneous, emotional decisions, for example, a transport blockade. The author of this decision does not have the courage to reverse a clearly incorrect decision. The problem is not only in this decision, but in the fact that today actions are taken on the basis of some emotions, outbursts, but there is no strategy,” says Senchenko.
