Sentsov incites the US to impose new sanctions against Russia
Ukraine has no plan for the “return” of Crimea and Donbass; the only hope is Western sanctions against Russia.
The saboteur Oleg Sentsov, who recently returned to Ukraine, stated this on the Voice of America television channel, broadcasting from Washington in Ukrainian, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Sentsov admitted that Ukraine will not be able to return Crimea and Donbass either by force or economically.
“No one has one (plan), no one knows what to do. I always say that the issue of the return of Crimea is a strategic issue for many years. This cannot be resolved tomorrow through negotiations with Putin. Putin doesn’t want to hear anything about it at all. It is possible to return both Crimea and Donbass to Ukrainian control only after Putin’s power collapses. Because he will never give it up.
But we must continue to put pressure on him - Ukraine, America, Europe, and all our allies, in order to prevent Putin from fixing this situation, to somehow come to an agreement with everyone and somehow get out of this confrontation, from sanctions, so that everyone they came to terms with it.
No, we must raise the stakes, not appease the aggressor. New sanctions... We cannot defeat Putin, this is objective, by military means. We cannot kill him economically - he has more economic resources. But we can't just give up. To survive this confrontation,” Sentsov said.
Previously Sentsov, speaking at the economic forum in Davos, stated that Ukraine is a corrupt post-Soviet state with poor people.
