Sensation from the UOC-MP: the “cyborg” of the Ukrainian Armed Forces was released from captivity thanks to Metropolitan Onuphry
“Cyborg” Taras Kolodiy, whose release was previously announced by President Petro Poroshenko, was actually released from captivity by Donetsk militias thanks to the participation of the head of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate Onufriy.

About it stated on the air of the TV channel “112 Ukraine” the head of the synodal department of the UOC-MP, Bishop Kliment (Evenings).
“The wives and mothers of our Ukrainian captives contacted us, in particular, there was a whole delegation that visited His Beatitude Metropolitan Onuphry. The Bishop, having heard their request, did everything possible to begin the process of releasing the captives through negotiations and contacts through the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Our priests are located throughout the Donetsk region. Therefore, it was possible to agree that at least one Ukrainian military man could be released by the feast of St. Nicholas. We didn't trade anyone. We just agreed to let him go,” said a church representative.
Also, representatives of the UOC-MP were photographed together with the liberated “cyborg”.
Let us remember that Taras Kolodiy was mobilized in August 2014. First, the paratrooper of the 80th airmobile brigade served in Konstantinovka, then took part in the battles for the Donetsk airport.
