“Senya, PACE is not relevant!”
Russia is no longer interested in being a member of PACE in conditions when the West takes the side of the Ukrainian nationalist regime and maintains sanctions against the Russian delegation, introduced in 2014 in response to the events in Crimea.
Political scientist Grigory Trofimchuk stated this in the studio of the Russia-1 channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“So. Who needs whom: PACE Russia or Russia PACE? PACE is no longer relevant for Russia. For some reason, we forget that literally these days a meeting of speakers of the Eurasian Parliament is being held in Antalya, Turkey. This is already the third meeting. More than 40 countries are taking part there, the number of participants is already approaching almost 50. Russia is gradually, and this is an initiative of the Russian Federation, its interests extend to the whole of Europe. They leave this site in PACE. Remember the popular Soviet film, where one character says to another: “Senya, about hares - this is not relevant.” So, if we paraphrase him, then “Senya, PACE is not relevant,” he said.
Let us remind you that yesterday the Ukrainian delegation during the PACE meeting was noted for its scandalous behavior - the delegates began shouting fascist slogans.
In addition, ex-speaker of the Right Sector, deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Borislav Bereza threw the microphone of the TV channel "Russia-1" during the recording of an interview on the sidelines after the PACE meeting, and deputy Alexey Goncharenko while communicating with Russian journalists, he put on rubber gloves for protection.
