This is exactly what Yatsenyuk’s speech looked like in the Verkhovna Rada on the evening of Thursday, July 24th. In the morning everything was calm. The agreements between UDAR and Batkivshchyna were respected. In the morning, according to schedule, we dissolve the communist faction, in the evening we vote on laws on the State Transport System, on changes to the Tax Code and on money for war. But as soon as Turchinov dissolved the communist faction, the Udar members went all in, followed by Svoboda.
The day before, an important internal figure of Svoboda, Sidor Kizin, a former partner of Portnov, one of the most significant raider lawyers in Ukraine, was expelled from the post of governor of the Zhytomyr region. This was a warning from Poroshenko for nationalists - if you don’t cooperate, we will remove the rest of the “Svoboda” members in power. And since the prospects for the VO “Svoboda” in the electoral field are not bright, cooperation with Poroshenko is the only way to maintain influence. Sergei Mashkovsky, a completely controlled person for Poroshenko, became the governor of the Zhytomyr region instead of Kizin.
Deputies from “Batkivshchyna” told us in personal communication that Yatsenyuk, before voting for the laws, met with “Svoboda” and “Udar” deputies and tried to convince them to vote for the most important law for him - the opportunity to sell up to 49% of the gas transportation system to Western companies. “UDAR” offered up to 50% of the seats in parliament and the position of deputy prime minister for this vote. The day before, Arseniy Petrovich met with Poroshenko and talked about new parliamentary elections and plans, together with the presidential Solidarity, to draw up a common list, where Batkivshchyna would take up to 50%. Poroshenko, according to the assurances of BYuT deputies, answered neither yes nor no.
In fact, Yatsenyuk played his game with the deputies to promote laws that he personally needed for reporting to foreign masters, but were extremely dangerous and not beneficial for the sponsor of “UDAR” Dmitry Firtash. At the same time, as a generally smart and cunning politician, Yatsenyuk tried to form a single bloc with Poroshenko, so as not to divide forces, to tie the president with himself and not to start a war within a single electoral field, but with himself at the head, because Poroshenko is like heading the party list the president cannot.
But “UDAR” demanded the same. The same 50% are on the list, and half of the government from Yatsenyuk was not enough for them. And as a result of this, “UDAR” - the bearer of the golden voice in the majority - with its only output destroyed Yatsenyuk’s plans, caused Turchinov to become hysterical and fulfilled the task of its beneficiary - Dmitry Firtash and his executive - Sergei Lyovochkin.
“Svoboda” moved after “UDAR”, despite the fact that the elections to the Rada may be a loss for this political force, but this will make it possible to retain ministers and governors. The first because they will remain acting. until the new parliament and the new majority, the second - because Poroshenko will not remove it.
Schedule before Thursday
But Senya returned. After last weekend’s trip to the training ground with Poroshenko and shooting from a sniper’s “ruzhbike” - everyone saw the semi-comical photos of this adventure, on Monday Arseniy Petrovich appeared at his workplace. After Arseniy Petrovich left, Poroshenko showed restraint, turned off his usual hysteria and managed to come to an agreement with Yatsenyuk. Another thing is that leaving the post of prime minister, despite the statements, is not so easy, but the fact that Yatsenyuk really wanted this is evidenced by the fact that an acting one was immediately appointed. And the matter took, first of all, a not at all good turn for the president - after all, he actually remained responsible for everything for the entire country. What Poroshenko offered to Yatsenyuk is not known.
Meanwhile, from the Skype correspondence published by the Cyber Militia of Novorossiya between Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Valery Chaly and entrepreneur Pustovarov, head of Kolomoisky’s oil company, it became known that Korban, Palitsa and Taruta met with each other immediately after this, fearing pressure from Poroshenko and to agree on their actions. From the correspondence it became known that Yatsenyuk had already managed to contact Kolomoisky and communicate with him. Korban, Palitsa and Taruta talked about the revival of Tymoshenko, and this is logical: if Yatsenyuk is ahead of “UDAR” in the process of influencing Poroshenko, then all he can do is go to the elections with his political force “BYuT”. It would have looked completely ridiculous if it had not included Lady “Yu”, because of whom all the fuss was going on. BYuT itself is not united - it has individuals loyal to the president, for example, Gennady Zubko and a number of others, but a number of non-factional deputies can also support Yatsenyuk.
A disposition is emerging before the parliamentary campaign that has almost begun: “UDAR”, “Solidarity”, Lyashko’s Radicals (Levochkin project), perhaps Anatoly Gritsenko’s “Civic Position”, the political project of the VO “Svoboda” trying to save itself, some non-factional ones under the leadership of Firtash and Poroshenko. On the other hand - Kolomoisky, Yatsenyuk, BYuT, Tymoshenko, Turchynov, and with them Taruta and lesser oligarchs. Akhmetov will not yet fall into any of the configurations, like the Party of Regions, Kurchenko’s group “For Peace and Stability”, and the Communist Party of Ukraine. The union of Kolomoisky and Tymoshenko seems surprising, but now is also an amazing time.
But for now... For now Senya is back. The most important vote is expected on Thursday - they will vote for everything that was not voted on last Thursday. It is difficult to understand what will happen in the Rada on Thursday. Last Thursday everything was agreed - and everything collapsed at one moment. The Ukrainian politician makes sausages, and the main sausage maker in this shop is Petro Poroshenko.
