Putin invited Serbia to begin purchasing Russian airliners
Russia is ready to supply civil aircraft to Serbia. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a joint press conference with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic in Sochi, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The Russian side offers assistance in updating the fleet of the Serbian national carrier. At the same time, it is ready not only to supply domestically produced aircraft, but also to organize a regional service and repair center for Russian aircraft at Belgrade airport,” Putin said.
He recalled that companies from Russia are assisting in the development of Serbia’s transport infrastructure.
In particular, Russian Railways is modernizing Serbian railways, creating a modern dispatch center, which will significantly increase the speed and efficiency of transportation.
“Russian Railways is doing amazing work, doing exceptional work in Serbia. We are building a modern railway to Montenegro with our Russian partners. This is of great importance for us,” said Aleksandar Vučić.
