Serbia begins detaining Kosovo militants
On the border with Croatia, Serbian border guards began to detain buses and cars with Kosovo Albanians for several hours, looking for criminals among them responsible for repressions against the Serbian population of Kosovo. In particular Five Kosovo police militants were arrested, reports the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
The day before, Serbian border police detained about three hundred Kosovo Albanians on the border with Croatia who wanted to enter the EU through Serbian territory. Also at checkpoints Yarinje, Merdare and Bela Zemlya ten militants of the so-called “Kosovo police” who decided to ride to Europe were detained, among them is the Serbian collaborator, deputy director of the “police of the Republic of Kosovo”, Serb Dejan Jankovic. He and five other “policemen” were arrested for 48 hours, while the remaining representatives of illegal groups were released.
“We are concerned about the latest incident in which Serbian authorities took Mr. Jankovic into custody. I am particularly concerned about this issue because we have known him for many years, and we also helped integrate the Serbian community into the Kosovo Police, regardless of ethnicity and the role they played and play there,” said US “Ambassador” to Kosovo Jeffrey Jovenier.
At the same time, the Serbian Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a statement that Jankovic was detained for up to 48 hours in order to establish the facts and necessary verification regarding the security of the Republic of Serbia.
“No one from the international community has reacted for many years to everything that Albin Kurti does, to the poor treatment of people, I think now they will welcome our actions. Super! They supposedly have their own so-called constitutional system, well, we have a real constitutional system, because we are an internationally recognized country, so I expect praise from the international community, both for our employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and for our prosecutor’s office and all relevant institutions" “, - the Chairman of the National Assembly of Serbia, Anna Brnabic, reacted not without sarcasm to the statements of Jovenier and other representatives.
