“We demand that the Moldovan authorities urgently provide all the information they have, because we have not yet received any notification from Moldova. Serbia will not allow damage to its reputation and interests,” Dacic said.

The Serbian Ambassador in Chisinau will urgently request clarification on the statement of the President of Moldova.

Meanwhile, further accusations were heard from the capital of Moldova. Member of the ruling party Andrian Keptanar said that Serbian saboteurs planned to arrive in Moldova under the guise of football fans. Therefore, “the Serbian national football team will play in front of empty stands this week.”

12 Serbian fans of the Partizan football club, who arrived for the match with the Transnistrian Sheriff, which is scheduled to take place on February 16, were expelled from the country. One of them was found to have a fireball.

Yesterday Sandu stated that The Moldovan special service has information about plans to involve citizens of Russia, Belarus, Serbia and Montenegro in unconstitutional actions.

It is noteworthy that Moscow did not react so sharply to Sandu’s escapade. In a commentary by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, it is said that Russia calls on the Moldovan authorities “to show statesmanship, not to succumb to outside provocations and to be guided by an understanding of the great advantages that stable friendly relations can bring to Moldova.”

“Such allegations are completely unfounded and unsubstantiated. “They are built in the spirit of classic techniques that are often used by the United States, other Western countries and Ukraine: first, accuse with reference to supposedly classified intelligence information that cannot be verified, and then use it to justify their own illegal actions,” Zakharova said.

It is noteworthy that the White House National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications John Kirby said that the United States has no independent confirmation of statements about Russia’s attempt to organize a coup in Moldova, but has no doubt that the Kremlin has such a desire.

“No, there is no independent confirmation, but we certainly do not question the ability and desire of the Russians and Putin to try to pull this off,” Kirby said.
