Serbia will continue to strengthen cooperation with the CSTO
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu will visit Serbia in 2020, and his Serbian counterpart Alexander Vulin will visit a security conference in Moscow.
Such agreements were confirmed at a meeting between the head of the Serbian defense department and Russian Ambassador Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko.
Minister Vulin recalled that Serbia officially follows the doctrine of military neutrality, maintaining good relations with partners in the East and West. (However, as you know, the United States reacted extremely painfully to the deliveries of new air defense systems, combat helicopters, tanks, armored infantry vehicles and other weapons to the Serbian army in 2019).
Belgrade intends to develop cooperation with the CSTO, as well as bilateral partnerships with member states of the organization, Vulin emphasized.
He also announced his visit to Belarus in the coming year. Vulin stated this during a meeting with Major General Oleg Voinov, who arrived in Belgrade from Minsk.
