The Serbian army received 56 UAZ Patriot SUVs
Russian-made SUVs will update the vehicle fleet of the Serbian army and military police this summer. By the end of October, eight more such vehicles will arrive in the country.

The demonstration of Russian UAZ Patriot SUVs purchased for the needs of the Serbian army, which took place on the territory of the Utva factory in the vicinity of Pancevo, was attended by Serbian Defense Minister Alexander Vulin.
“Finally, we can say with confidence that we have reliable vehicles that can guarantee the safety of all our military personnel,” the head of the Serbian defense department commented on the event. “It was from them that we began to update the fleet of our armed forces, vehicles necessary for the daily life and work of all our units, especially those that face difficult terrain, uneven landscapes, high-risk areas, where greater vehicle cross-country ability is required , ability to withstand difficult weather conditions.
We also took care of the price-quality ratio, which corresponds to the capabilities of our budget, as well as the needs of our army.”
In turn, the head of the Department of Transport and Transportation of the Logistics Directorate of the General Staff of the Serbian Army, Colonel Dragisa Zinay, noted that today’s demonstration showed that Russian equipment is ready to perform the tasks necessary for the Serbian army.
“The vehicles are mainly intended to increase the mobility of units of the Serbian Army, and, in addition, have additional importance for the safety of the deployment of military road traffic, and to update the average age of this class of vehicles in units of the Serbian Army,” the colonel noted.
