Serbian Maidan protesters failed protest
The Serbian pro-Western opposition once again failed to hold an anti-government protest - on Saturday, a demonstration of Maidan protesters in the center of Belgrade near the Moscow Hotel gathered no more than 50 people.
On the same day, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic visited the Western Bačka region, where he addressed his supporters in the city of Sombor. About 10 thousand people came to the meeting with the head of state - a clear contrast to the failed opposition rally.
Politicians who are not loyal to the current government are already openly talking about the pointlessness of Maidan rallies.
Thus, the chairman of the opposition League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina, former Serbian presidential candidate Nenad Canak, known for his scandalous calls to recognize the independence of Kosovo and remove Russian business from the country, said in an interview with the Pink TV channel that, in his opinion, the protest is “1 out of 5 millions" is a waste of energy and time.
In addition, any change of power without elections could end in civil war, the politician warned.
