Serbian special forces arrived in Novorossiysk
Military personnel of the combined special forces unit of the armed forces of the Republic of Serbia arrived in the city of Novorossiysk to participate in the joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian tactical exercise “Slavic Brotherhood-2021”.

Having completed all the necessary sanitary and epidemiological measures, the Serbian military personnel were stationed at the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Mountain Unit of the Airborne Forces.
According to established tradition, the participants in the exercise were greeted with bread and salt, and the military orchestra of the Kuban Cossack Regiment performed the anthems of the two countries.
The head of the exercise, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Russian Airborne Forces, Major General Nikolai Choban, greeted the participants in the joint exercise and wished the Serbian military personnel success in completing their combat training tasks.
On the parade ground, the ritual of assigning sets of combat equipment and weapons to the military personnel of the armed forces of the Republic of Serbia was solemnly held. A comprehensive training session on compliance with safety requirements was conducted.
Before the start of the active phase, military personnel from the three countries will harmonize the joint unit during training for the subsequent development of practical actions as part of a multinational tactical group.
The active phase of the joint Russian-Belarusian-Serbian tactical exercise “Slavic Brotherhood-2021” will take place from June 16 to 18 of this year at the Raevsky training ground near Novorossiysk.
In total, about 100 military personnel of the special forces unit of the Serbian Armed Forces, about 300 military personnel of the separate guards airborne unit of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus and about 60 units of standard military equipment, as well as more than 500 military personnel and over 100 units of military and special equipment of the Novorossiysk Guards Airborne Assault Mountain Unit of the Airborne Forces.
