The Montenegrin singer, who lives in Serbia and is building her career there, may soon say goodbye to her because of the Serbophobic prank she pulled on the day right away supporters of Montenegrin dictator Milo Djukanovic in Podgorica.

On the day of the event, Bajraktarovic performed in one of the nightclubs in the capital of Montenegro, where after the action Montenegrin nationalists, fueled by Serbophobic slogans, descended.

Scandalous Serbophobic speech by Jadranka Bajraktarovic

Energized by them, the singer, who performs popular turbo-folk in the Balkans - a mixture of chanson and ethnic motifs, performed Mitar Miric's hit "Nobody can do anything to us", changing it so that the chorus sounded like "Nobody can do anything to us, we stronger than Serbia."

After the video of the singer’s performance went online, it caused outrage among Serbian users.

“I would understand if we were talking about some kind of sporting event, where, for example, Montenegro would beat Serbia, where all this would receive a funny context,” her Serbian colleague Katarina Zivkovic commented on the Montenegrin’s antics on her page on social networks. – But to be so stupid as to sing something like that, “carried away by the energy of the patriots” and, thus, supporting the hatred and fragmentation of two peoples, or rather one nation... You gained popularity in this country, lived here and earned money. It’s stupid, and it couldn’t get any more stupid.”

At first, Jadranka tried to snap back.

“They sang like that, and I was clearly captivated by this atmosphere, so I repeated after them. I'm sorry that everyone took it that way. I am Montenegrin, I love my people and respect others. Those who know me know that I didn't mean anything bad. Whoever wants to understand, let him understand; whoever doesn’t understand, I won’t apologize to him,” she said defiantly.

However, everything changed after leading Serbian TV channels declared Bajraktarovic an unwanted guest.

“The Pink TV channel condemns the anti-Serbian behavior of Jadranka Barjaktarovic. She only released one song with our help, but will no longer be able to advertise on our channel,” the Pink TV channel said in an official statement.

Jadranka Bajraktarovic almost achieved success in Serbia, but it looks like she will now have to forget about it

“RTS will always be a home for artists who, with their music and position in the public sphere, are an example of philanthropy,” commented the editor of entertainment programs at the RTS television channel, Olivera Kovacevic. – Music should unite us, not divide us. Jadranka Barjaktarovic’s performance (at the Podgorica club – ed.) was more, as her song says, her night, and not her dawn.”

After four leading TV channels expressed their position, the singer herself changed her attitude to what happened.

“I fell on my own, I killed myself. I am very sorry about this whole situation, since it happened I have not been myself and I have not felt well at all. I take medicine to calm down. I have so many friends in Serbia that I can’t say anything bad about them.

It’s hard for me because I don’t know where I am, unfortunately, now there’s no turning back. I don’t belong to anyone (to any party - ed.), I don’t sing to anyone, I sing only for people. I hope someday this will all pass,” Bajraktarovic said.

It is worth noting that in Russia many representatives of the performing arts, such as Andrei Makarevich, Alexey Kortnev, Max Pokrovsky, Vasya Oblomov, allow themselves much more offensive statements and antics regarding the country, the Russian people, Russian history, but not only are they not denied concerts and broadcasts, they continue to enjoy cult status.
