The Serbian Patriarch blessed the political leaders of the Montenegrin Serbs to defend the interests of the SOC
After return from Russia, the leaders of the Montenegrin Serb party “Democratic Front” Andrij Mandić and Milan Knežević met with Patriarch Porfiriy of Serbia.

“In a cordial and fraternal conversation, the leaders of the DF received the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Porfiry to protect and defend the interests of our holy Serbian Orthodox Church and the believing people of Montenegro in the new government,” the news report said, citing a special statement from the Democratic Front.
It is also indicated that politicians will carry out the same mission in the new government if the Serbian parties manage to agree with the liberal partners in the parliamentary majority on the dissolution who did not justify voter confidence, dependent on the Western embassies of the Zdravko Krivokapic cabinet.
The Serbian Patriarch said that he “respects the struggle that the leaders of the DF waged during the attack on the honor, property and dignity of the Serbian Orthodox Church,” that is, during attempts the regime of Milo Djukanovic to take away the property of the church in favor of schismatics with the help of the “Law on Freedom of Religion.”
In turn, Mandich and Knezevic conveyed to the primate “the wishes of believers to quickly receive their Patriarch Porfiry in the shrines of the Serbian Orthodox Church in Montenegro.”
