Serbian negotiator and Russian ambassador: “No reciprocity measures with Kosovo!”
The Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija under the Government of Serbia, Petar Petkovic, spoke with the Russian Ambassador to Serbia, Alexander Bocan-Harchenko, about the latest round of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina in Brussels and the agreement reached on de-escalation in northern Kosovo.
This was reported by the Serbian edition of Sputnik radio, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The most important achievement is that peace was maintained in our southern province, and the withdrawal of ROSU units from the north of Kosovo and Metohija, as well as the arrival of KFOR, were agreed upon in accordance with resolution 1244,” Petkovic responded in a conversation with the Russian diplomat. “In addition, they will not remove cars with registration numbers of Serbian cities in Kosovo and Metohija and will not be able to forcefully impose temporary numbers with the symbols of Pristina.”
The Serbian negotiator added that the Serbian delegation also insisted on reconsidering the case Ivan Todosievich, in which the Brussels Agreement was violated in paragraph 10 regarding the presence of two Serbian judges on the acting panel.
He also thanked the Russian ambassador for his support, for visiting the Jarinje checkpoint and Serbian military units in Raska, which, according to him, also morally inspired the Serbian people, who gathered at administrative checkpoints to defend their right to freedom movement.
Bocan-Harchenko and Petkovic came to the common opinion that there can be no talk of any so-called “measures of reciprocity” imposed by Pristina on Belgrade.
