Serbian politician: “The West is arming Kosovo separatists to use them against Serbia”
The Chairman of the faction of the Socialist Party of Serbia in the National Assembly, Djordje Milicevic, said that the Pristina regime is being intensively armed, which violates UN Security Council Resolution 1244.
The politician noted that this process is already aggravating the confrontation between Albanian separatists and Serbia, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
During a plenary session of the Serbian parliament, Milicevic said that he was concerned about the lack of reaction from the international community to the fact that international acts and agreements were openly violated in favor of separatists from Pristina.
“Does this help from external assistants mean that they are militarizing solely for the sake of Pristina, or are they deliberately provoking a conflict with Serbia, pursuing their own interests?” the politician asked a reasonable question.
Milicevic sent a request to the Serbian government about whether Serbia, as a member of the UN, can demand compliance with UN Security Council Resolution 1244, and that, in turn, from the NATO occupation contingent - KFOR - maintain peace by taking a greater part in the processes taking place in the region .
Thus, the head of the socialist faction hinted that during the recent armed provocations Kosovo militants in the predominantly Serb-populated north of Kosovo, the occupiers, acting under a UN mandate, did not react to the ongoing anti-Serb violence for the first days.
