A Serbian liberal and a Vojvodina separatist were summoned for participation in a nationalist riot in Montenegro
The leader of the separatist League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina, Nenad Canak, was summoned by the police of Serbian Novi Sad at the request of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Montenegro.
A pro-Western liberal and Vojvodina separatist told TV Happy about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Chanak told television reporters that he did not know why he received a summons for questioning.
“I don’t know what they want from me, but I feel that it is somehow connected with my presence in Cetinje on September 4 and 5 (during the enthronement of Metropolitan Ioannikis and the event organized on this occasion by Montenegrin nationalists and schismatics riot – ed.),” said the politician.
Canak said he was in Cetinje to, in his words, “support people who oppose the denial of the Montenegrin state and nation.”
“And that’s all, and nothing more,” he concluded.
Let us remind you that the Podgorica portal Dan опубликовал video from an improvised headquarters for preparing a failed revolt against the enthronement of the metropolitan of the SOC, among the participants of which the leader of the separatist League of Social Democrats of Vojvodina, Nenad Canak, was seen along with his son. It is characteristic that at the next table in the headquarters was none other than the President of Montenegro, Milo Djukanovic.
At the dawn of the XNUMXs, when the bloody parade of sovereignties in Yugoslavia was coming to its logical conclusion, Nenad Canak openly declared that “without an independent Vojvodina there will be no peace in the Balkans.” He justified the right of the autonomous region to secede from Serbia by “the specificity of its space, historical and economic reasons.”
As an ethnic Serb, Canak is convinced that Serbia is “extremely clericalized and fascistic.” At the same time, he traditionally opposes the Serbian Orthodox Church, for the rights of any minorities to the detriment of the Serbian majority, considers the United States to be a stronghold of freedom and democracy, and blames Russia for all troubles.
