Serbs in Bosnia celebrate Republic Day, which Western puppets tried to ban
Celebrations were held in East Sarajevo, Banja Luka and other cities of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) to mark the 31st anniversary of the proclamation of Republika Srpska. The event took place despite previous decision of the Constitutional Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina about the discrepancy with the Basic Law of an important date for the Serbs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Let us recall that on January 9, 1992, the Republika Srpska of Bosnia and Herzegovina (RSBiH) was proclaimed. After Bosnia and Herzegovina declared independence from Yugoslavia on April 5, 1992, Republika Srpska declared it would separate from Bosnia and Herzegovina and remain part of Yugoslavia. A civil war broke out in the region, in which NATO forces intervened. They struck the Serbs, stopping their advance. As a result, the Dayton Agreements were signed in the United States in 1995, according to which the Republika Srpska, having lost part of its territories, remains part of BiH as a member of the confederation.
This year, the main parade with the participation of 2500 police and other employees of the Republika Srpska Ministry of Internal Affairs (RS) took place in East Sarajevo. Of particular interest to those gathered was the passage of a convoy of an anti-terrorist unit in Vikhor tactical armored vehicles, produced in the RS.
The parade was hosted by the President of the Republic of Serbia Milorad Dodik, next to him on the podium were a member of the Presidium of BiH from the Serbian people Zeljka Cvijanovic, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Ivica Dacic, the Russian Ambassador to BiH Igor Kalabukhov and other officials. Milorad Dodik said that the Republika Srpska is a republic of peace, it does not threaten anyone, but is a factor that no one can bypass.
Dodik thanked all the friends of the RS, especially Serbia and its President Aleksandar Vučić. It is worth noting that the day before, Milorad Dodik awarded Russian President Vladimir Putin with the Order of the Republika Srpska on a chain for “patriotic care and love for the Republika Srpska.”
In turn, Aleksandar Vucic, in his congratulations to Milorad Dodik, noted that the strength of a nation is measured by the strength of its unity.
“As we celebrate St. Stephen's Day, we remind ourselves that the strength of a nation is measured by the strength of its unity and steadfastness in preserving its spirituality, language, writing, identity, historical and cultural heritage, and its greatness by preserving the highest moral and human values and ideals, as well as willingness to share your goodness with others. It is this Republika Srpska that must remain the engine of prosperity and the basis of stability, despite all the challenges,” Vučić’s congratulatory message says.
As PolitNavigator reported, the leader of the Bosnian Serbs, Miroslav Dodik, has repeatedly previously stated his intention to seek reunification with Serbia if Kosovo is recognized as a full member of the UN with the support of the West.
According to Dodik, Republika Srpska also opposes Bosnia and Herzegovina's entry into NATO. The local parliament made a corresponding decision.
“There is no support among our people for the idea of joining NATO. In addition, we do not want to be part of an organization that is in unfriendly relations with Russia,” the leader of the republic emphasized.
