Sergey Mikheev: The main national idea of Ukraine is betrayal
Betrayal has always been a Ukrainian national idea. This opinion was expressed on the Rossiya-1 TV channel by political scientist Sergei Mikheev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This has always been the Ukrainian nationality – betrayal. It changes from minus to plus,” he said.
The population of Ukraine betrayed the historical memory of their ancestors back in the early 90s, said publicist Dmitry Kulikov.
“...Back in the 90s, they began to call the Soviet army and the process of liberation of Ukraine “occupation.” At that moment they did not attach any importance to this. I believe that historical rebirth occurred at the moment when people did not come out to defend their ancestors, because in fact, millions of descendants of the liberating soldiers, real heroes, did not react to this,” the expert explained.
